PRODUCTION

The Exonerated

The Exonerated is a piece of documentary theater by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen highlighting the lives of six individuals wrongly convicted within the U.S. justice system.

This production took place in Boston University's Booth Theater, a large flexible theatre space. As the master electrician for this show, it was my job to implement the designer's plot with the assistance of my AME. I lead load-in, notes, and strike calls for this show, with teams of 5-16 other students ranging from first-year undergrads who were not intending to study lighting further, to lighting graduate students. I also worked in collaboration with technical production to fly the automated truss pods, batons, and catwalks and install inset fluorescent fixtures in the scenery.

When the Rain Stops Falling

When the Rain Stops Falling is a compelling family saga that takes us back and forth in time from one generation to another, from 1959 to 2039, from London to Australia. With four generations of fathers and sons, their mothers, lovers and wives, the play is epic in its scope, yet at the same time extraordinarily intimate

This Production took place in Boston University's Studio ONE, a large black box space with flexible seating. As the master electrician for this show, it was my job to implement the designer's plot. I lead load-in, notes, and strike calls for this show, with teams of 5-16 other students ranging from first-year undergrads who were not intending to study lighting further, to lighting graduate students. This included installing 4 added light ladders as hanging positions and string light practicals to the large mesh cloud structure that hung overhead.

After Life

After Life imagines a post-mortem conversation between Gertrude Stein and Pablo Picasso, who are conjured by the ghost of a Holocaust victim. The opera questions art, fame, and who mankind chooses to remember.

This included creating hang cards and coordinating with scenic to navigate the 200 dried roses that were suspended from the grid.
